Real-time Voice Agents

Voice is the interface of the future

I think we've all dreamt of just speaking to our computers to get what we want. Now it's possible!

OK, Siri and Alexa have been around for a while, but their latency wasn't great and you had to know exactly how to speak to them to get what you want.

Now that OpenAI has released their realtime API, those problems are largely solved.

It's as quick and flexible in handling your questions as ChatGPT is.

Hear it in action

To try this out (and to demo it to you) we've connected our company phone number to the realtime API. Now we can introduce you to: The Wakeflow Receptionist.

It was trained with the content of our website, which we scraped to make it available to the chatbot.

You can try it out now, by calling +447360543212

You can ask it anything you like, but here's some insipration:

  1. Say "Tell me about your WhatsApp chatbot"
  2. Ask "Where are you based?"
  3. Ask "Can I speak to Andi?" and it will forward the call to me (how badly am I going to regret this one? Let's find out!)

What's next

What we're now working on with a client of ours is appointment booking. So clients can call, get information about available slots and then book a time that suits them. All with natural language.
